And that’s all because I’m using new e-mail marketing software from MailerLite and I’ve just become MailerLite certified. When you originally ended up on my VIP (newsletter) list I was using MailChimp (goodbye MailChimp, hello MailerLite!) which is a similar system but doesn’t offer as many features for small to medium sized businesses like MailerLite does and at such a great price point – FREE! This article may be of interest to you, or even your friends, especially now that some of the Spanish banks have started charging for the receipt of pensions from the UK now that the UK is no longer part of the European machine. Please feel free to share it. If you read on I will tell you about my experience with Transferwise (well actually at the time of me publishing this article, they’ve just renamed themselves to Wise because as you’ll see they are more than just a money exchange company). Besides international money transfer at bank beating rates, they have been and still offer their FREE borderless bank account which I’ll tell you more about. I recommend checking back on this article as I will be updating it to let you know whether it is possible to not have a money-grabbing Spanish bank looking after your money! Google Photos unlimited storage new limits
It is with some dissapointment that I write this article. For a number of years now I have been extolling the virtues of Google Photos to many of my clients. If you don’t know yet what Google Photos is, I’ll give just a brief explanation before moving on.
Google Photos is a product from Google’s stable that allows you to backup your photos online to your Google account. If you have the app installed on your phone, tablet or laptop for that matter, it will, in the background upload copies to your Google account. The main advantage to this is that should you lose your phone, or have it stolen you don’t lose all your memories. There are also lots of other useful features within the Google Photos app.
Now that you’re clear on what Google Photos is (sorry if you already knew), the point of this article is to now reveal that Google are no longer offering unlimited storage as they once were – this was perhaps one of the most compelling reasons to use this in favour of say Apple’s equivalent iPhoto. Apple for example give you 5Gb of storage free for all your files including photos, and there are probably many Apple users out there paying for additional storage when cheaper options are available.
